Lacking "claws" they have filter fans at the end of each appendage. They stand on their "hind legs" and extend the fans to capture passing food in the current.

White seahorses usually dont last long, unless they rapidly change colour. This one was on site for 3 days, then disappeared, probably eaten.

When I saw the green antennae, I did not immediately notice they were pieces of sea grass. I thought I found a new species!
