When spotting a whip coral check the surface of the coral if there is a variation in texture. It will probably be a whip coral shrimp as they are perfectly camouflaged with the coral’s colour and polyp structure.Jan_2024

Shark with Boat, Gardens of the Queen Cuba
I carefully approached this Saltwater Crocodile in a shallow mangrove and seagrass area. I was diving in Jardines de la Reina, Cuba on Avalon live aboard boat in November. I used an Olympus XZ-2 without a flash.

Very impressive Paul, the angle and the shark's silky texture makes this shot one of my favorite shark shots of the month.
This Green Turtle was in water, but the camera was above, so technically a topside image. Converted to B&W to emphasise the graphic patterns on the turtle.

Definitely the best shark shot of the month. Black and White emphasizes the shark's shiny body and makes the eyes stand out.
