Backlinghting the filefish illuminating the skeletal bones and using just enough front lighting to light up the eye.

A pelican is oblivious to what's happening in the background.

Corkscrew anemone providing home and shelter to different species, and many times they co-exsist in harmony.

The USS-Kittiwake is one of my favorite dives. Every time I descend on it, the variety of light, sealife, conditions... inspire a photo!

'Mouthful'...A blenny hunting bloodworms by night. This was a special capture as the blenny was lightning fast, in order to get the bloodworm in its mouth required preemptive firing at just the right moment! Luckily one came out just right

Adorable roughhead blenny!
I used f/2.8 to focus on just the blenny's eyes and cirri (horns), making them pop against the background.

These guys have huge personalities. I spent a good 30 minutes with this one and it felt like we were playing a game. Really entertaining to photograph.

A very colorful Triple Fin Blenny portrait. These small fish have excellent color, but what I really liked about the subject was the color background of algae this guy chose to post up on.
