I used a slow shutter speed while zooming a 14mm to 45mm lens to get this effect with a hawkfish taken at Sharksbay. Not as easy as it looks... I did edit the color balance but not the effect. Taken at Sharksbay with E300.

Found loads of these "sea hares" high and dry on the reef during a low tide in Nabq Park. Apparently they gather during spring for breeding. Taken with Olympus SP350.
