This pod of sperm whale were asleep, out of the blue around 50 pilot whales suddenly appeared and began making noise and generally harassing them. (taken under permit)

Spotted cleaner shrimp spotted in the Caribbean Netherland (Curacao). Natural symbiotic relationship between the shrimp and the anemone.

Spotted cleaner shrimp on an anemone. These 2 creatures have a symbiotic relationship, where the shrimp provides parasite removal services and the anemone protects the shrimp from predators.

A small blenny, sticking out of a coral. This tiny creature might be small, but it has a big personality, observing my camera and showcasing it's alien-like face.

After spending several days with this mama and calf at Roca Partida, Socorro, we watched in horror as two Orcas killed the baby. This photo reminds me of the beautiful encounter I had. The circle of life is magnificent yet cruel.

A curious baby humpback swims by me on the way to get a breath. The escort male is just visible behind momma. Despite the protection of the adult whales, two orcas killed and ate the baby the day after this photo was taken.
