When spotting a whip coral check the surface of the coral if there is a variation in texture. It will probably be a whip coral shrimp as they are perfectly camouflaged with the coral’s colour and polyp structure.Jan_2024

Up close and personal! When approached, this Caribbean Reef Octopus reached out and grabbed the 1:3 framer on my Nikonos V, and pulled himself onto the camera. Made for a few easy shots though ;-)

This shark is all of 9 to 10 feet in length. Used my wide angle lens on my DC500 SeaLife camera. Taken Nov. 2006 north of Grand Bahama. No cage, and there were two other Tiger Sharks and 8 Lemon Sharks swimming all around us. What a rush

This is one of my first Macro shots with a Nikonos 35mm. I was told by my photo instructor that this is a fairly hard shot to get as the dusters are so sensitive to water movement.
