Santa Barbara Janolus at Monterey Wharf 2. We have been seeing these up here the last bunch of years in the fall. They used to not be this far north.

Bay Pipefish in eel grass at Monterey Wharf 2. He was hiding in the eel grass and was difficult to get a clear shot of but I managed to capture this dramatic image.

Highly exposed, relatively shallow wreck. Lost March 1920 during a snowstorm. Vessel was a 5500 GRT combined passenger/cargo vessel. All passengers removed safely, crew remained behind to assist with salvage. One day following the grounding the vessel rapidly broke apart and sank taking 7 of the crew with her.

Lost off Halifax in March 1920, the stern of the "Bohemian" lies broken apart at a depth of 80-feet. Nikonos V, 12mm Sea&Sea lens, 3200 ASA B&W film, manual exposure in natural light. Slightly cropped in PS.
