As soon as we crested the reef head at Karpata in Bonaire we encountered a group of file fish feeding on Moon Jellyfish. By swimming directly under the jellyfish and shooting towards the surface, I could photograph them with the sunlight coming through their translucent bodies, using my strobes as a key light. Ikelite housing, dual Ikelite 125 strobes, Canon 5D MKII and Canon 17-40L lens.

Fresh water lake with nice visibility in summer. It has a number of the largest fresh water fish in Europe ; the catfish. One is over 7,5 feet long and is widely known as Big Mama.

Here is our club accomodation, bar, showers, etc. The visibility varies from 1 to 6 mtrs. There is an artificial reef (car tyres).

This is a perfect place to learn to shoot some wide angels shots. In the winter you find here a lot of nudibranches. There are facilities around the dive site

These freshwater lake has a depth of 17 meter. Especially the undeep parts may be nice, if you have good visibility.

In winter and spring the visability is good enough for diving. In may the male pike perch is watching over the eggs and can be agressive.

Simple divesite with easy water excess by a pier with a ladder, or just jump in. After a plateau of about 1 metre deep there is a slope to 8 metres. Here you can go left or right. The slope is the most interesting part of the divesite. Here are rocks with small holes. Small fish, lobster and chrimps hide in these places. Below 8 metres there is a lot of sand. This can also be interesting for nudibranches or small European plaice.
