Malcom beach is a secluded beach on the northwest point of Providenciales, the diving and snorkeling are awesome.

Stayed on Grand Turk. Almost no current on Caribean side of the island, waters was 76-78F in April. Have whales in March. Island is somewhat primative. Currently 3 hotels. Largest had 20 rooms. We stayed on north west side of island so the wall dives were only 5-10 minutes away by boat. We were usually the only group diving and made for a very relaxing dive vacation. Typical day was up by 8, boat left around 9 or whenever we were ready... Dive 1 a wall dive to 80-100 feet for 20 minutes then top of reef for 20 minutes, then roam around small coral heads in the shallows till air ran out. Back to the resort for a snack and 1 hour interval. Then repeat for dive 2. A few days we squeezed in shore dives in the afternoon and one night dive. Most days we would spend the afternoon exploring the island, take a break to watch the sunset, then off to dinner. About 2000 people live on the island and approximately 30 donkeys and a number of dogs roam around the island.

Amazing Dive Site. The wall is superb, yet any dive site in the turks and caicos is absolutely magnificent. Always go with "Provo Turtle Divers". They are friendly, helpful, and take small personal tours.

My first impression of my first dive in the Turks and Caicos was this site. I had heard that Caribbean diving was inferior. However, I thought the diving here was on a par with the Red Sea. The viz, the corals, the marine life were all as profuse.
This site is a long boat ride away from Provo. We dived with Art Pickering and he has a fine and comfortable boat. Fast too. They trawled lines hoping to catch a Marlin (but didn't). An ever-full cooler and pleasant company passed the 40 or so minutes it took to get there.
West Caicos is well worth the journey. Being remote and undived it is pristine.
We dropped into an Eagle Ray and a turtle that the local guide held so I could photograph. I asked him not too. In the end I pretended to take the shot just to make him let go. Actually, it came out alright but I could't show it! You are not supposed to hold Turtles, they breath air and get very stressed. Just imagine your out of air situation!
Anyway, I also had a loopy grouper who kept banging into my dome port. Must have fell in love with his (her?) own reflection.
There was a large barracuda under the boat to finish my film on.
Great dive. How many times can you say that!
