These Blue striped grunts were posing for us at the dive site known as Porron, at Playa del Carmen
These ramoras off Playa del Carmen came round us at the end of the dive. They gave us some fantastic blue water photo opportunities
I am intrigued by the amazing reflections of whale sharks sub-surface. When it's calm I make a point of tilting my housing upwards. I love the partial distortion of this one combined with a swimmer to give a sense of size and motion.
Whale shark feeding on bait ball at the surface, Honda Bay, Palawan. Honda bay is a great location for observing a variety of feeding behaviour. This one is my favourite because they are completely stationary and easy to approach.
My first time diving with the Great White Sharks. The cage was 35 feet below the surface. My camera was a Intova IC 12 with a wide angle lens
A large grouper (Epinephelus marginatus) marine reserve of Lavezzi Corse (France)

The fish gather under the boat, the sun is low on the horizon as another day of diving comes to an end. Aloha to 2011.
Eye to eye with a manta ray. Photo taken in the Archipelago Revillagigedos by San Benedicto Island on a dive site called the Boiler. It was taken with a Canon T3i in an Ikelite housing with an Ikelite DS-125 strobe.

Bait ball against a backdrop of deep blue sea and sun rays

A Bar Jack (Caranx ruber) and its Sharksucker (Echeneis naucrates)
As a marine biologist, I was recently invited to take part in an expedition to explore the Conflict Islands, a remote atoll of PNG. This shot is a perfect representation of my overall feeling about this marine biodiversity hotspot. Canon 7D, 15mm fis
This close encounter with a manta ray took place in the Archipelago Revillagigedos by San Benedicto Island on a dive site called the Boiler. It was taken with a Canon T3i in an Ikelite housing with an Ikelite DS-125 strobe.

Epibulus insidiator
2 black cheek eels checking me out, can you find the 2nd eel? I did not even know it was there until looking at the photos on my laptop.
I shot this picture free diving from my paddle board in Delray Beach, FL. There were thousands of these moon jellies in the water.
Just swimming along.
Close encounter with a Caribbean reef shark in Roatan
Anemone fish on pink coral. Great way to start off dive into German Channel.
