Couldn't really see what was strange about this squid on this night dive but shot it anyway as it was slower moving than most. I found out later it was because it was feeding.

This was in April at SW Pinnacle in Gulf of Thai'. I got lucky. I was teaching Advanced OW doing a double dive at the same site. The whale shark appeared at the end of dive 1 which I didn't dive. So in I hopped and had the whole experience to myself.

Crocodile fish giving me the eye on a Komodo night dive
Does anyone recognise this moonlit shot of one of the world's busiest dive sites? It's more tranquil at night. Yes, Koh Tao's ;'Twin Peaks' and 'Whiterock'.
bit of eye contact always helps.....as gratefullypointed out by Michael Gallagher on a recent liveaboard to Komodo
It was only his movement which caught my eye, otherwise perfect camo'!
Whale shark and remora
Working without a strobe means having to maximise the natural light. Tried hard here.
Stingray junction at 'Shotgun', Komodo
This young lion fish appeared to be walking along the substrate
midnight snapper in for a closer look
I just love the patterns in crcodile fish eyes and well bahaved subjects too
This is one of Koh Tao's most popular dive sites at night from on high and with an electrical storm in the background.
hermit crab on a night dive
A very young manta circling our boat in Gilli Lawa Laut
