This is one of my favorite dives in Palau, and is best done on an incoming tide. Dive starts when you drop down a mooring line and swim with the reef wall on your left until you reach the mouth of the channel wherein you stop and hook in to watch sharks or other big fishes go by. After this, you to the mouth of the channel, an area where currents can range from none to very fast! The channel has a sandy bottom at the center, around 30-40ft in depth, and on both sides, you can see a lot of nice macro life and a lot of sharks too! The most visually stunning part of this dive is the big patch of lettuce coral on the right side as you move along the channel. It is like a huge condominium of fish. If you have to choose another dive site next to Blue Corner, then Ulong Channel must be on your list.
