Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are NOT MOVING usually on the bottom (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)

It's a Coleman Shrimp. Used 100mm macro on a Canon 450D. I used two Inon strobes on this.

Synchronized pair of Christmas tree worms
Sailfin Blenny (Emblemaria pandionis). Sailfins are not rare in the Cayman Islands, but this is the only one I've ever seen completely out of its tube and with its sail up. I only got one shot before it disappeared.
