Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are NOT MOVING usually on the bottom (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)

THiis little guy was only about 3 cm . The picture was taken in a cave at Anchor Bay on Malta's west coast.

This green eyed hawkfish found a great spot to watch the world. I took the strobe off the housing and placed it in the sand to achieve the back/side lighting, pointing at the spot the fish kept coming back to. This was its 'porch'
