The development of SQUID is visible in the picture. These eggs are about 3mm in diameter and when the little squid inside has used up all the nutrients in that "egg-ball" he is attached to, the see-through shell of the egg breaks open.

Diver starts to explore the P29 off Malta at Cirkewwa. Origianlly built for the German Navy as a minesweeper it was used by the Maltese Navy as a patrol craft. It was released from service and sunk as an artificial reef on August 14th 2007.
