You can actually go shark diving in Oslo, Norway.They are not big, OR dangerous, and they are even called Dogfish - but they are still sharks. (Nikon D300).

The Hurtigruten ship "M/S Nordstjernen". Picture was taken at a nice and sunny day, aprox. 300 km above the arctic circle, end of May 2010.

Lake Lygnstøylsvatnet, Norway. I 1908, a rockslide closed off the valley and it was flooded by the river. Some of the rocks are huge! This one must be older than the landslide though; it has trees growing on it ;-)

This Eubranchus farrani was sitting on the edge of a kelp front, getting ready to take off. I was able to catch it in mid-water as it floated by. Nikon D300 in Nexus housing, 2x Inon Z-240 strobes.

Lesser swimming crab, Polybius pusillus. Yes, that is a spine from a sea urchin underneath it. The crab looks quite grumpy, so it might be kept as a defensive weapon ;-)

A cold water shark from the Oslofjord in Norway, the "Spiny dogfish shark", about 1 m in length. And so sweat

A giant Wolf fish is having a sea urchin as a snack! The fish was found in the rich waters of Saltstraumen, in Bodø Norway. Saltstraumen is the strongest mael current in the world.

What do you do when the strobes won't fire? Try another take at getting it together! Norwegian Topknot shot at f4.0, 1/60 and ISO 320 with a small focus light. Sometimes that can work too :-)
