Question does anyone have experience, using video lighting with digital still cameras? it was mentioned as an option from a well known underH20 photography store. wonder if this would be bright enough. i am planing on getting a canon G11 for something a bit better than a standard point and shoot, but easier to carry onboard the unfriendly skies than my video set up, and or housing my D90. I know this is compromising but i have had it with shipping the heavy bulky equipment. and most of my h2o photog is by plane as of now. thank you for any advice you may have!

message Hi,
A couple of years ago I used the "photo light" from "mb sub" ( see website ) with a Olympus WZ7070. The photo light was not so cheap ( payed around 700 USD for the small 50 W version ), but it came quiet handy...especially in fish-portrait, close up and macro shots. But now, a few years later I would say : If you don't have A LOT of light, better use strobes. tc, Rico
