Question i just got my canon g10 with matching casing. i took it a few times to dives, but the front casing gets moist after every dive. tried to put dessicant but it didn't work. what could be the problem?

also, my nightmare is that my camera might get wet with saltwater? what should i do if this happens?

message If its the glass that gets wet it sounds like a bad case of condensation. You should try and prepare the camera in a dry environment, like an air-conditioned room, especially if you are in a humid /tropical country. You can also try lots of dessicant packs... just put as many around the camera as possible. I use 4 or 5 in the UK...even here its a big problem.

Regarding the saltwater leaks..in my experience, its the end for the camera. I lost my G9 that way. The water collects in the bottom of the housing and very quickly shorts the battery and thats game over. I guess if you see a leak, switch the camera off, hold it face down so the water goes towards the port and end the dive as quickly as is safely possible.

Thats my ideas anyway!
