message Hi,
I desperately need some help in connecting the Quest electromagnetic controls to my camera. The controls have 6-pin RJ-25 (phone style) connector, and the camera only has 2.0mm stereo phones type port for the remote. How to connect the two?

message I have a Quest Housing as well. There is a circuit board required between the magnetic switch and camera. It converts the magnetic switch pulses to the LANC protocol for your camera. Quest is now out of business so if you need one try EBay.

message Thank you. I got the camera to work with the controls. I opened the camera apart, and hardwired the controls. But having the circuit board converter for other cameras would be nice. Where did you get yours?

message I bought the camera and housing in Hawaii in the mid 1990s. All Sony cameras use the same LANC protocol so the same circuit card should work in all Quest housings for all Sony cameras.

message Hello, I realize this post is from many years ago but I am trying to get some replacement "SeaProx electromagnetic controls". Seems like you knew the makers at the time. Any help here in the year 2011 would be appreciated.
Thanks, Steve
