Jim was still recovering from surgery and couldn't dive on our last trip to Little Cayman, so I took his camera down and had a great time. One of my favorite shots was this little Arrow Blenny, about 1 inch long.
Scrawled Filefish from Little Cayman Island. Jim was recovering from surgery and couldn't dive on this trip, so I took his D300 down and had a blast with it.
Tiger Grouper being cleaned by Cleaner Gobies on Little Cayman Island.
Trumpetfish on Little Cayman Island in the Caribbean Sea.
Diamond Blenny, one of my favorite little fish in the Caribbean Sea.
Arrow Blenny (Lucayablennius zingaro) on the hunt in the Cayman Islands. It's fun to watch the little fellows darting out to spear larval shrimp or other tiny morsels of food. Length about 3 cm.
Longsnout Butterflyfish (Chaetodon aculeatus) on Little Cayman Island.
BRO at Secret Bay, Anilao.
shortlistedShortlisted!
Two Purple Crowned Sea Goddesses (Mexichromis kempfi) on Little Cayman Island. These were about 2 cm in length. A nice find!
Little juvenile Trumpetfish on Little Cayman Island.
Due to recent surgery, my husband/dive buddy Jim didn't dive on this trip to Little Cayman, so I took his D300 down and had a blast with it. This Queen Triggerfish was aggressively guarding its eggs, so it was easy to shoot a close-up.
