This lovely apnea diver struck a relaxed pose for me under the ice of Morrison's Quarry. Nikonos V, 12mm Sea & Sea lens, manual exposure with Ikelite 150 strobe. Cropped for subject and colour corrected.
This Decorator War Bonnet was shot on the world famous Browning Wall near Port Hardy B.C. The wall drops off to hundreds of feet. I used a Nikon D2X with a 105 macro lense.

For fun and to generate interest in the Vancouver Winter Games, the CTV network asked people to send in photos wearing the red Olympic mittens in different locations. Part of the mitten sales supports Canadian athletes. This was my submission.
Painted anemone in Bamfield on the west coast of Vancouver Island
This is a type of sea star, still looking for the name :P
Properly prepared, you can be just as comfortable under the ice as anywhere else. Nikonos V, Sea & Sea 12mm lens with Ikelite 150 for strobe fill. Manual exposure.
This is a Sea Nettle (Chrysaora). They're usually found in large groups along the shore or in open water in the pacific northwest. This species of sea jelly will actually swim up as close to the shoreline as it can without having to stop swimming.
