| Christian Vizl | I have a passion for the ocean, for animals, for beauty and nature. Used to be a Diving Instructor, now I only dive for pleasure. I´m also a cave diver, and an artist. So now I´m combining this to create unique underwater images.
Because beyond the issue of our survival is the issue of how we experience our life and how we celebrate it. And our experience of life is intrinsically linked to how we communicate and "connect" with everything around us, especially with all life around us. In my case, it’s the ocean and their living creature that makes me want to celebrate. So my photography is intended to be a celebration of marine life and the underwater world.

| Goos van der Heide | In 2001 I bought my first camera and started with underwater photography.
Since then, I traveled all over the world, but my favourites are still Asia and Indonesia in particular.
This is because of my special interest in Macro-photography: e.g. Anemones, Feathers and all the tiny animals living in symbiose with these two, like shrimp, crabs and gobies.

I was born in Belgium in 1967 and still living there, despite of the bad weather and water conditions. I started diving in 2005. My first UW photo (dust, near the object, unsharp) dates from March 2007. After three years of fighting with my wife Els Van Den Borre about 'Who shall take the Compact camera now?' we both bought a DSLR camera.
In my first UW photo competition I was immediately awarded with a bronzen medal. During the second edition of the HugyCup in 2010 I shooted some other winning photo's.
(You do not have to be good looking to be lucky you know!)
Thanks to the huge number of tremendously UW photo's underwaterphotography.com inspires me to make better pictures myself.
Although, my goal is to make a photo that catches the eye and is totaly different than the other ones!
