This is a closeup of star polyps open for feeding.
This chain moray proved to be very shy indeed. I had to wait for almost 10 minutes for him to come out of his crevice...
This was my best use of negative space. I am too much of a dead center shooter...
Had some leftover sparklers from the July 4th celebrations. I could help but play around with them + a long shutter. Not marine related, but thought it would entertain =)
Moon jellyfish are about the size of a basketball and safe to touch on the outer dome.
Balloonfish simply have the coolest eyes
My dive buddy, Zach and I were fortunate to watch this Sand Tiger shark come out of the shadows like a bad diver dream =)
Bottle nose dolphins from Anthony's Key resort are well trained and very playful =)
Saba is known for its many fearless Hawksbills...
Paul with an undulating eel =) He was smiling big time behind the reg b/c I was stalling trying to wait for the eel to take some fingers...
Yellowbar Angelfish are very photo friendly....
This sea nettle packs a nasty sting if you aren't wacthing where you are going...
My friend Tony taking on this ocellate swimming crab.
Oceainic Whitetip posing =)
This lettuce sea slug was about the size of my thumb. A bit more colorful though...
Saw a sun halo out just after getting home from diving. Thought everyone would enjoy =)
These schooling golden sweepers came out from the dark recesses from a wreck...
Fluking Up, this dolphin waved to us for a few seconds...
Pod of dolphins cruising by our rip. They split just after we go into the water....
Divemaster touching the outer dome of a moon jellyfish. They are completely safe on one end, sting on the other...
Flamingo Tongue Love
I love the polyp detail of tip of this sea rod. Like a million little fingers reaching out to grab you...
This Spotted Eel was ready for his close-up =)
Neon Gobies share a trait with a cousin called the Sharknose Goby. The name comes from their noses which look like, you guessed it, shark's noses. This shot I think caught that aspect...
These Golden Sweepers were seeking refuge in this wreck off the dive site Abu Galawa
Oceanic White Tip making his final approach for landing...
