Lion Fish says hello!
Although wary of giving sleeping fish arch eyes, I just had to take a shot of the puppy face of the masked puffer, which is extremely busy in the water during the day.
"Mona Lisa"
Common lion fish? Check out the feathers. A new species is evolving in the Red Sea
Blue spotted ray, swimming towards the camera
Napoleon Wrasse, bit too close for a 28mm lens, but the detail is great
Ghiannis D
looking out from the Chrisoula K. No photoshop effects or cropping. Dual Epoque strobes with diffusers and Olympus E330
Hawksbill turtle, following the camera :-)
Scorpionfish chilling on the Sha'brurh Umm Gammar reef
Gray Shark - Sha' ab Rumi
Hawksbill turtle follows the camera.
lionfish in a natural frame
Hawksbill turtle, feeding on soft coral. The camouflage is striking, its face with its lunch, the lighter areas of its shell with the limestone
"Aquarium"
This may look like an aquarium, but it was taken with a 55mm lens in Ras Abu Galum. One of the best sites for uw photo. Only problem is that the only way to get there is on camel back.
Bat fish (spade fish) massing off Shark Reef, Ras Mohammed, Egypt. It was almost exactly one year ago I first saw this spectacle, a dive which remains my favourite and changed me in to a dive-nut. Rated in the top ten dives world wide.
Jelly in mirror
"You shoul see the other guy!"
This Lion fish was out to get me, and I just snapped this before I escaped. Note the missing eye and broken horn.
Canon EOS 400D with Ikelite housing and DS-51 strobe.
Needlefish in shallows
Cleaner wrasse taken at Marsa Bareika, Ras Mohamed Park.
Lion Fish
