"The Color Purple" - A blenny peers out of its textured coral home. Tentatively ID'd as a sailfin blenny.

Lionfish on the tropical and colorful reef in the Caribbean! Did you know these fish have venomous spikes and are dangerous for divers and fishermen?
“Come Back...!”
A yellow-headed jawfish appears to look longingly after a diver as he disappears around the Kittiwake shipwreck. I was trying for a different angle on the wreck, and a shot with some fun! 🙂
"False Foe" - A pike blenny darts out at a perceived rival. Shot using a technique I'm developing :D
"Diorama"
A Caribbean reef shark cruises the deep wall. To me, this image is reminiscent of the engaging dioramas at the Museum Of Natural History.
"Bokeh Bouquet" - Colouful coral and sponges resemble flowers in this image of a goldentail eel. I used a shallow depth of field and Nauticam SMC to capture the bokeh.

"Suspended" - A Caribbean reef shark approaches. Photographed on the East End of Grand Cayman.
"Peeking Amphipod" - Look closely: an amphipod peeks over the edge of a hydroid. Framed against a sparkly homemade background I made. The background was held by my dive buddy, no sea life was touched.
This mantis shrimp was very friendly,he was not shy at all
Enlarge to see detail: I used a remote strobe to light up this scene inside the galley of the Kittiwake shipwreck. I wanted to add some depth to the shot, so used a tiny bit of strobe to illuminate the rusted table in the foreground.

“Smokestack Silhouette” - A diver is framed within the smokestack on the Kittiwake shipwreck.
Grand Cayman - The compass on the Kittiwake, which is level to the seabed, shows just how much the Kittiwake is lying on its side. Model: Alice Gostick

Gentle Sway
Divers explore "Orange Canyon", a dive site named for its gorgeous, bright orange elephant ear sponges. I dialed up the shutter speed a bit to make the blue a darker shade, in order to provide more contrast against the orange.
A large wave pounds Northwest Point in Grand Cayman.
Midnight Parrotfish in the caverns of Snapper Hole in Grand Cayman.
