Dollabarat, Azores

   Portugal
Awsome. It´s a seamount near Island of Santa Maria, Azores. It´s called Dollabarat because of the first boat to study it.

Darwin's Arch

   Ecuador  Pacific
Excellent place to see the entire BIG show. (whale sharks, hammerheads , grays, white tips, and galapagos sharks. Manta Rays, Spotted Eagle Rays, Large Green Moray Eels, etc...)

Currents were strong around Darwin's Arch but it made for a very exciting and dramatic couple of days. The diving was fantastic as we had 14 sightings of whale sharks in 2 days. Swimming out into the big blue through a curtain of hammerheads was the most incredible feeling. This place is truly magical and is a must visit if you are a serious diver.

Shab Samadai (Dolphin House) :
The horseshoe-shaped reef forms a shallow lagoon where a large school of spinner dolphins lives permanently. A large group of pinnacles rises to the surface on the western tip from a carpet of sea-grass populated by an abundance of fish.
YOU can dive with Marsaalam-divers they are very friendly and accurate.

Dona Nelly

   United States
This wreck is an interesting one that sank for an unknown reason. It was a shrimper boat. It's covered in a neat coat of algae and coral. Spider crabs and anglefish have been seen. This is a deeper dive, so, some experience is needed. Have fun diving it. Visibility is pretty good, since its average depth is about 95 feet.

Delsan Wreck, Tubbataha Reefs

   Philippines  Sulu and Sulawesi Seas
one instructor once told me that this is the the equivalent of the underwater disneyland. ive seen 2 different schools of jacks, groupers as big as a door, hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, thresher sharks and a whale shark. if your really lucky you may chance upon several of the pelagics at this corner. fantastic site but quite deep and may have strong down currents. have to plan the dive.

Djibouti

   Djibouti  Red Sea
Djibouti is one of the most amazing locations on this planet, located right at the southern neck of the Red Sea in the gulf of Aden. Everything visiting the Reed Sea HAS to go through here. This area in general is among the most densely populated shark spots with incredible species diversity; from cat sharks to Whale sharks.
Can be hostile, and not everyone is friendly - Liveaboard is the best option.

D. João de Castro Bank

   Portugal  Atlantic
It's THE MAGICAL PLACE. At 13 meters you have a seamount with hidrotermal activity. This brings lots of live to the surface and unique life forms in shalow vents. Schols of Barracuda, tunas, bonitos and other pelagic fish are a certain! Be carefull with boilling water, gas, ammonia and currents or swells. Once I broke a camera there! Check out some photos at http:andrebarreiros.blogspot.com

Dwejra Gozo

   Malta  Mediterranean Sea
Dwejra has about 4 dive sites and a multitude of possibile dives. You can start from the inland sea and swim out through a tunnel, start from the Blue hole and then swim out. You can also opt for a boat dive to Crocodile rock where depths of 40m are easily reached. The swim out of the tunnel has some spectacular photographic opportunities, and it was this site that encouraged me to take up underwater photography. There is also the Coral Garden, with some lovely colours. There is also a large cave to the right of the inland sea, but this should be undertaken as a boat dive as there is a long swim.

Its one of the few place in the Maltese archipelago where one can see large groupers.

One of the main attractions of this area is the colour of the sea. The blue here is like nowhere else in Malta or Gozo.

This area is very popular with tourists all year round.

I hope more people visit the islands to see our extensive heritage, the oldest erect building in the world is in Malta, and our clear blue waters with many wrecks and sites to visit.

Look for Malta and diving on the internet, and you will find some interesting pictures of what is available in Malta.

Diver's Dream

   Trinidad and Tobago
We were diving for two weeks every single day, did dives on both ends of the island, but, couldn't get enough of Diver's Dream, we dove with Manta Dive on Pigeon Point Road, and they were just fantastic!! Very friendly and well organized... I prefer diving on the southern end, off Crown Point, however.

Devil's reef - Tenerife- Canary islands

   Spain  Atlantic (South)
this point is adrenaline!! ... don´t hesitate!!! :D

on boat 5 minutes. descending by anchor line. a sand bottom with garden eels. The reef ends at vertical wall descending at 35- 40 mts deep. in this wall you can see morays, stingrays, tunas, barracudas, a lot of groupers, giants anaemones, octopus, parrotfish, jackfish, different kind of sharks, black and red coral... abound..

the security was tangible every moment: 5 meters deep reserve tank, oxygen, First Aid Kit, VHF transmitter and mobile telephone. the divemaster has a ponnytank (extra tank) with him and 2 second stage.

we dive with SeaDive (http://www.subcanaria.com)

Dunraven

   Egypt  Red Sea
You really need to be in first to apprecaite this wreck.
It is a massive big upturned hull that you enter from the back and swim through (so lights needed). There's not much inside.
Your bubbles dislodge all manner of creatures (hence the get in first idea). Some of these are pricly so wear your hood (or keep moving).
It's relatively safe. You can see you exit through the broken hull midships at all times. there's huge schools of glassfish here so your photographers will find some good shots here.
Once out you can follow the reef back up at your leisure to finish the dive. you'll easy get an hour in all.
