Saipan Grotto

   Northern Mariana Islands  Pacific
A beautiful sunken pool connected to the ocean by underwater passages. The sunlight shining on the ocean outside the cave gives the water its amazing deep blue color with typical visability of 100 plus feet. The Saipan Grotto is one of Saipan's best diving spots. Considered by many as one of the best shore cavern dives in the world, this must do dive site in Saipan is sure to amaze you.
After entering the water through a large limestone hole, divers realize they are in a huge cavern. From here, there are three different exit holes to the sea. Once outside, there are beautiful walls, swim-throughs, and caves to explore. Turtles, sharks, and wrasse, are some of the many types of sea life to be seen at this magnificent dive site.

Shark Dive with Stuart Cove's

   Bahamas  Caribbean Sea
With advanced booking checking in was breeze, and was on the boat in 10 minutes upon arrival. The boat was great, 46ft lots of room and shade, topside sundeck, bathroom, freshwater showers, camera table, huge water cooler, everything you need.
The first dive was at Razorback reef, about a 15 minutes from the dock. During the dive briefing we were given the choice of following the divemaster or heading out on own. I followed the divemaster and it was very good dive, lots of life, saw a hammerhead, cool.
The 2nd am dive was 2 wrecks laying bow to stern, the first starting at about 35ft,the 2nd ending at around 60ft. Both of these ships are 180ft island tankers, this was a cool dive. This site is only about a minute from Stuart Cove's dock.
After lunch out to Sharkwall and Sharkarena, about 45 minutes or so, defnitively worth the ride. The dive is on a wall and coral gardens that surround Sharkarena the site of the 2nd dive. The sharks know a snack isn't too far away, with 6-10 following us around (and a couple grouper too). After a surface interval back down to the Sharkarena a natural sand spot surrounded by coral, the feeding begins. I was totally blown away by these 2 dives it was great lots of sharks in your face action, 6 days later I'm still processing it. If you want to see sharks and want to go with a great dive op chose Stuart Cove's. I can't think of anything negative about Stuart Cove's the entire staff was fantastic. I hired a private photographer from Stuart Cove's Fin Photo for the Shark encounter dives, Tori did a awesome job during the dives and gave me a disc with 61 great pictures, worth the extra money. I can't wait to go back

YO 257 & San Pedro Shipwrecks

   United States  Pacific
Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

The YO 257 and the San Pedroo are the best wreck dive in the Hawaiian Islands. We have 2 170 ft shipwrecks laying side by side, 75 ft apart at a maximum depth of 100ft. Both wrecks have been there over 25 years and have atracted lots of marine live. There is tons of coral and fish, many big green sea turtles and 2 reef sharks that are permanent residents. It is a great dive for the intermediate (20 dives) to the experienced diver and a must to divers visiting the island of Oahu.

North Channel (Apataki-Tuomotos)

   French Polynesia  Pacific
This dive is for the experienced diver only. The dive site is a narrow canyon where there are very strong currents. We went in when the tide was running in, found a place to hang on (making sure that all our kit was attached) and then photographed the thousands of grey reef sharks that seemed to be just hanging in the current.

Canyon, Watamu

   Kenya  Indian Ocean
This dive is in the National Marine Reserve. A quick 20minute boat ride takes you to a moored buoy. A descent to about 10metres will find you at the reef top. Covered with soft and hard corals. Plenty here to photograph. Just over the edge of the reef is a large arch that was filled with a shoal of glass fish. There are two reefs that you can explore, separated by a gully. We were told that whale sharks have been seen here, but were not lucky enough to encounter one ourselves. We did however see two turtles swimming calmly past, and spotted what looked like a dolphin in the distance.

Shark Point , Phuket

   Thailand  Andaman Sea
Shark Point is part of a Marine Sanctuary that was created in 1992, where there is no commercial fishing, and collecting marine life is forbidden. You will find a reef teaming with life, and a sandy bottom where leopard sharks often rest. It is very colourful, with schools of tropical fish, sea fans and soft corals covering the rock. It can be hard work finning with a quite brisk current, but they do tend to run parallel to the reef. A good photograhic dive.

Anemone Reef, Phuket

   Thailand  Andaman Sea
The dive site is a huge pinnacle that starts at its peak just below the surface and then decends some 30m. It took about an hour to reach by boat, but was well worth the wait. We saw sea anemones as far as the eye could see that looked like huge fields swaying in the breeze. There are plenty of fish to photograph, including tuna, barracuda, tropical and clown fish and an abundance of lion fish. Although we did not see any we were told that you could find leopard shark here.

Great White Wall

   Fiji  Pacific
Fiji is known for it's huge sea fans and soft corals, along with mantas, hammerheads and big pelagics. The diving is for all levels with shallow and deep reefs, ledges, wall diving, lagoons and wrecks. Dive sites are the Great White Wall, Purple and Red Wall, Yellow Wall, Rainbow Reef and the Pinnacle. At Beqa you will find a reef-filled lagoon with it's outer reefs having drop-offs that can plunge up to a mile down bringing in sharks and pelagics. Diving is all year, although there is normally a plankton bloom from February thro March. The water here is warm, but a lightweight wetsuit or lycra suit will give protection from abrasion etc.
