What does a manta ray eat? Well...this... Krill. A manta ray is feasting on the krill gathering in the lightbeams of divelights during a nightdive.

Scorpaena scrofa. I was diving without strobe, but someone used his torch to light the scene. The fish didn't like it and swam away. In a reflex I followed it resulting in this "action"-shot. Years later that "light-guy" became my husband. - Els

We all hate backscatter, but sometimes it adds mystery to a picture. The tiger shark in the background seems to be trying to hide behind the backscatter to ambush the bluefin trevally. Without the backscatter it would look less menacing. - Erik

Ingredients: a soup of plankton, different torches. Recipe: one strong torch at the back of the ship shining down. Put the normal torches in the sand shining up... and wait for the UFO's to appear. No strobe or torch used on the camera, 16mm. - Erik

This lovely creature came right at us and showed interest in my hair. Luckily it did not become a feeding frenzy. It further ignored us and found more pleasure in some soft coral. No additional lenses used so not really wide angle, 1 strobe. - Els
