What splendid eyes these little gobies have! They hide in small crevices in rocks. They are shy but curious and it is easy to photograph them when they lean out to scrutinize the external environment. Havelock Is._April2024 (Canon100,1/200,f9,i.100)

Basket star (Astrospartus mediterraneus) shot in an unusually shallow depth: only 8.5m deep. A bit hard to shoot with the 100mm macro (the animal is about 30cm wide) but sightings of this species this shallow are not common.
