The ctenophore Mnemiopsis leidyi in Oslofjord

The rare Devil fangshell, catpured one night in the deep fjord south of Oslo, Norway... Really a mixture between a seven-rayed scallop (Pseudamussium septemradiatum) and a lemon sole (Microstomus kitt). The teeth - I just made the space between them!
I discover this little nudi on a dive in North Norway's arctic zone.

Alien of the deep... the rarely seen crown jelly, or Periphylla periphylla, captured on a night dive in Lurefjorden, north of Bergen, Norway. Nikon D200 in Nexus housing, 20mm wide angle.
