From Tenerife, one of a sequence of photos showing a Lizardfish catching and swallowing an Ornate Wrasse alive. The photos had to be taken in between bouts of thrashing by the Lizardfish. The whole sequence can be seen on my Flickr site.

This fish is aptly named "Painted Comber" it looks like some kid's painted fish drawing. This one is about 2ft in length and was taken on La Gomera in the Canaries, with Canon A70 using the internal flash

The "Oro Verde" wreck, Grand Cayman. It's well and truly smashed up now by succesive storms, but the larger parts make an interesting photo. Taken with Canon A70 and natural light.

Juvenille Queen Angelfish under a tiny ledge. I couldn't avoid the green weed getting in the way slightly, but it does add depth to the photo.

Taken in La Gomera, Canary Islands. Nearly all the Glasseye Snappers here, are infested with Isopod parasites on the tail. They obviously don't go to the cleaning stations very often!

Leafy Sea-Dragon found while shore diving at Lucky Bay, Western Australia. Taken with Nikon Coolpix 990 and Video Lite. Without the lights, the Leafy Sea-Dragon is almost indistinguishable from the weeds. I'd watch these until the air ran out!
Runner Up - worthy of note but not a medal winner - an equal 4th place if you like! Runner Up 2006
