Another blenny.
An up close study of Rusty Cuyler's blemishes.
Finally a critter with a bit of color.
Don't do it!!
The jellies have been an issue of late. Seems the only times I've seen these things with their mouths open has been when they're vacuuming up injured jellyfish.
I must have spent 45 minutes waiting for the eggs to show up, but if they're in there, I couldn't see em. Managed to also get some video of him doing some housekeeping, too. How can he be spitting sand if he's keeping eggs in there??
Flying Gurnard preparing to push back.
Decorator up close. Nearly four feet of viz at the bridge at low tide yesterday.
Sharp teef
Pair
Yellowtail Snapper (Ocyurus chrysurus)
buddies
Bank Seabass, I believe.
Was this hybrid's daddy a triggerfish??
Not sure whether he was tasting or spitting at me.
Periodontal exam
Afraid I overdid the photoshop thing here. . .
An amazingly large helmet conch visited the bridge back in early July.
Interspecies hide-and-seek. Nobody will find me a gaping pikeblenny, neither. . . :-)
These guys seem to never stop moving. . .
Might he have thought that he was wearing his orange outfit?
Oddly, ran across this guy on the same dive as with the pink one - the only dive at the bridge on which I've found *any* froggies.
They seem to generally be shy about showing their pretty "suckers". . .
I fumbled around in a panic when he yawned (belched?) and only got one shot off. I'd *still* love to shoot a sailfin blenny some day, but nobody'll show me one. . . :-)
I think that's Mr. Abernethy in the background - getting ready to holler at me again. :-)
Not the most colorful of seahorses, but a spot or two of color here and there.
Pillow Pants? Night dive in the Bahamas. We had watched Clerks II one night on the liveaboard that trip. . .
