Whorls and Ridges
Im drawn to this species of boxfish largely because the patterns covering its body remind me of the whorls and ridges of a fingerprint, I wonder if their patterns are just as unique?
A large eel hides in a hollow
'colourwheel contrast' this nudibranch shot contrasted so heavily with the natural green tinge of our jetty waters it was almost perfectly contrasting.
'Crabby Clam' a small crab hides inside a razor clams.
A Gloomy octopus holds on to a shell, using it as a trap door every time I got too close.
A very large Giant Cuttlefish (Sepia apama) strikes a pose on the edge of its territory.
A couple of banded toadfish Hide in the sand, only showing their opalescent eyes to passersby.
A Pachycerianthus spp or purple tipped tube anemone close up, lit with a single 800lumen lamp from a top down perspective.
