Another Polycera... this one was sitting on a dark kelp frond. Photographed with little light it seems to be floating in thin air... eh, water.

Nikon D200 in Nexus housing, Inon Z-240 strobes. Nikkor 105 mm, manual, ISO 100, f/16, 1/60.

The rabbit fish (Chimaera monstrosa) is common at depths ranging from 50 to 1000 meters. In the fjords of Norway it can be seen by divers as it migrate shallower at up to 10-30m meters. Fantastic animal!

Diving off the Farne Islands UK 2006. Kelp and dead men's fingers cover most of the underwater topography in the area. EOS 20d, format RAW, +2 EV, Manual meter, 20mm Canon prime lens f2.8 USM, DS125 strobe, ikelite housing, 6inch dome port.

In may the black goby is laying eggs. Then they are much easyer to fotograph. This was a try out fot a Dutch photocontest. The picture was taken in the Grevelingenmeer, a closed sea arm of the Northsea.
