Bruno VAN SAENThank you for visiting my profile. I was born in Belgium in 1967 and still living there, despite of the bad weather and water conditions. I started diving in 2005. My first UW photo (dust, near the object, unsharp) dates from March 2007. After three years of fighting with my wife Els Van Den Borre about 'Who shall take the Compact camera now?' we both bought a DSLR camera. In my first UW photo competition I was immediately awarded with a bronzen medal. During the second edition of the HugyCup in 2010 I shooted some other winning photo's. (You do not have to be good looking to be lucky you know!) Thanks to the huge number of tremendously UW photo's underwaterphotography.com inspires me to make better pictures myself. Although, my goal is to make a photo that catches the eye and is totaly different than the other ones! My Website

Els Van Den BorreThe first time I wore a dive mask was in a swimming pool in November 2005, Egypt. They convienced me to have an introductary dive but only after three tries I finally decided to go for it and dive in the open sea. Back again in my home country Belgium, we (my husband Bruno Van Saen too) became member of a CMAS diving school. In 2006 I made my first UW photo's and just before entering my first UW photo competition (HugyCup 2009) I switched from my compact camera to a DSLR Nikon D90. Result: third place in 2009 and a 1st and a 2nd place in 2010. Macro life is what I'm looking for! The smaller the better! Although my dream is to dive with the humback whales. So, if you can help me realizing my dream call me, write me, find me ASAP!!! When I'm not in the water I'm working at home as a physiotherapist with my speciality acupuncture: NEEDLES!!! In an UW photo I try to find 'naturality'. With my photo's I want to show the real beauty of the UW world! My Website
