A flounder sitting on top of come coral. Usually they are in sand and more difficult to photograph. They are weird-looking suckers.
Lizard fish. Usually they're pretty well camouflaged but this guy seemed really content on this coral. He let me take several photos and never moved.
The sky is the limit. Coral reaches dramatically towards the surface.

The wreck of the Hilma Hooker- Bonaire
We followed this little guy for a good 5 minutes, and the best photo was as we let him swim away.
Octopus shot from a night dive.
This was taken on my first night dive. It looks like an anemone but I'm not sure it is. I've never seen one during the day. It retracted into a tube like christmas tree worm if disturbed. They are very pretty.
I did my first night dive with a camera this evening. I was surprised to find that I actually got a few pleasing shots. This was the first octopus I've encountered as well.
Three of a kind beats a full house. Squat anemone shrimp

The first time I saw one of these it surprised me. I was changing a camera setting and when I looked up it was inches from my face and closing. I had to push it away from me. This was after seeing a YouTube video of one tearing a guy's thumb off.
This guy was waiting for us as my wife and I surfaced after a dive. He just sat there as I swam closer and closer but hardly seemed to notice me.
So common here I pass them by all the time but .....
Lettuce Sea Slug Bonaire Dutch Caribbean 60mm +10 Diopter
There are lots of invasive lion fish in the area where I'm diving right now. Since they don't move much they make good subjects to practice underwater skills for a beginner.
This photo was taken with a Canon G12 in an Ikelite housing. Only the on-camera strobe was used. I took dozens of photos of anemones over several dives before I started getting anything decent. This is one of my first passable shots.
Pederson Cleaner Shrimp Bonaire
