As the name suggests, with live video editing, you make all the decisions about length and order of shots, camera angles, composition, shot type etc. as you go shoot your video.

geat advice! When you choose live editing your video is finished as soon as you have finished the last shot. This makes the technique convenient but not very tolerant of mistakes!

Live editing requires a lot of discipline. You can't just record the first thing you see. You need to think in shots - and make snap decisions about framing, shot size, shot type. Then you need a bit of luck that the subjects will perform!

live editing is hit-or-miss but will hone your skills and give you tremendous confidence to progress further.
