Holding your camera underwater

U/W Photo Course

Learn u/w photography the easy way!

geat advice! Underwater, your camera is, by and large, safer hand held than hanging on snap hooks and rings on your stab jacket etc. This may seem counter intuitive but all cords are accidents waiting to happen and they only give you a false sense of security. If you're holding it - you know where it is at all times!

All loose items, especially supplementary lenses, should have safety cords securing them to the camera. Remember - if you don't tie it on, you won't come back with it!
