Moving subjects present special problems to the
photographer in terms of capturing a sharp image on film. The typically low
ambient light levels encountered underwater often dictate slow shutterThe shutter is an integral part of all cameras. It opens to allow light through. The greater the range of shutter speeds a camera has the better. speeds
with natural light, and this can result in a subject being blurred if it moves
significantly during exposure.
