Underwater Photoshop

Metadata is text fields that ‘live’ inside your images. Metadata can only be applied to certain image types, notably JPEGThe Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) format is widely used. It is a bitmap format commonly used to display photographs and other continuous-tone images in web pages on the Internet. JPEG retains all the color information in an RGB image but uses a compression scheme that reduces file size by discarding extra data not essential to the display of the image. , PNG, JIF and RAW.

There is a panel for displaying and editing Metadata for any individual, displayed image. Metadata includes such useful information as copyright, date, shooting data etc. All of over 100 different fields that are shown here that you can edit.

There are a couple of important Metadata sections that are of interest to photographers.
