Image Preview Generation

A quick word about the thumbnailThese are low resolution copies of an image stored inside the image in order to display quickly. Some digital cameras and photo applications including Windows Explorer use them to display images in digital contact sheets. and preview generation.

In order to manage memory efficiently when displaying thumbnails, Adobe Bridge creates the thumbnails and stores them in a ‘sidecar’ file in the current folder or in a central cacheTemporary storage. An area of the hard drive where information is stored about the thumbnails metadata and ranking information in your images.. It then uses higher resolution versions for the preview pane.
