Harlequin shrimp are always a lucky find. Being one of the most coveted shrimp among fish collectors, we see them less and less. Although beautiful, these shrimp can be deadly to starfish, moving into action as soon as they smell their prey.
The silkies surrounded our boat between dives, with the sun beautifully playing on their skin.
"Manta Cleaning Station" part of my Underwater Surrealism body of work. This image is playing off cleaning stations, placing the scene in a car wash. The Orange Clarion Angelfish clean the mantas in Socorro.
