Checking the Connection


You can check the status and the settings of the DV device through the Main Window in DVgate Motion.
Check all DV device connections when experiencing operating difficulties.

The Selected Device

Displays the terminal from which the video is to be captured.

The Status of the Connection Between the Computer and the DV Device


/
The connection status of the Computer and the DV device is displayed.
[ONLINE]: Confirms that the DV device is properly connected to the computer through an i.LINK cable, and that the DV device is turned on.
[OFFLINE]: Either the DV device is not properly connected to the computer, or it is turned off. In this state, you cannot capture video from or output video to the DV device.

Whether a Tape is Set in the DV Device



Displays whether a tape is set in the DV device or not.
On when all the following are true:The DV device is properly connected to the computer through an i.LINK cable, the DV is turned on, and a tape is set inside the DV device.
Off when any of the following is true: The DV device is not properly connected to the computer through an i.LINK cable, the DV device is not turned on, or a tape is not set inside the DV device.

Control Indicator



Indicates whether the DV device can be controlled from within DVgate Motion.
On when all the following are true: The DV device is properly connected to the computer through an i.LINK cable, the DV is turned on, and the DV device can be remotely controlled from within DVgate Motion.
Off when any of the following is true:The control indicator is off when the DV device is not properly connected to the computer through an i.LINK cable, the DV device is not turned on or the DV device cannot be remotely controlled from within DVgate Motion.
