Using the Jog Dial with DVgate Motion

You can use the Jog Dial to operate the DVgate or to select menu items without having to use your mouse.
Select the window you wish to operate and use the Jog Dial.

Caution:

This function can be used only with SONY made computers that are equipped with a Jog Dial. Refer to the Computer's Operation Manual for details.

Operating in the Main Window and Monitor Window

The following operating list is displayed in the Jog Dial window. Turn the dial,make your selection and press.
  • Rewind/Play Rewind
  • Stop
  • Fast Forward/Cue
  • Slow Rewind
  • Play
  • Slow Forward
  • Step Backward
  • Pause
  • Step Forward

Operating while holding down the Shift key will cause the following actions to occur depending on the state of the DVgate that is connected.

Operating in the IN/OUT list window and Record list window

Jog Dial OperationAction
Turn LeftSelects one list item above.
Turn RightSelects one list item below.
PressDisplays short cut menu of the item selected.

Operating while holding down the Shift key allows you to select an item above and below with the list items selected as it is.




Operations in the Preview window

The following operating list is displayed in the Jog Dial window. Turn the dial, make your selection and press.
  • Stop
  • Play/Pause
  • Step Backward
  • Step Forward
  • Previous File
  • Next File

Operating while holding down the Shift key allows the following actions.
