Menu Bar

Main Window

[File] Menu

  • [Open...]
    Opens a Record list (*.rlf file).

    Hint

    If there is already a Record list open, opening a new list will append the contents of the new list to the bottom of the currently active list.

  • [Save...]
    Saves a Record list (*.rlf file) .
    When saving an IN/OUT or Record list, specify its file name in the [Save As...] dialog box.

    Hint

    A saved Record list contains the time codes and image data of all the BEGIN and END points.

  • [Add...]
    Opens [Add] dialog box and adds both BEGIN and END points to the Record list.


  • [Preview...]
    Clicking this button will open the Preview Window where you can preview the selected entries in the Record list.

  • [Record...]
    In [EXPORT-Auto] mode, records video on the DV device according to the Record list.
    In [EXPORT-Manual] mode, transfers data to the connected device according to the Record list.

  • [Exit]
    Exits DVgate Motion.


[Settings] Menu

  • [Device Control...]
    Opens the [Device Control] dialog box where settings for controlling the connected device are configured.

  • [Adjust on Recording...]
    Opens the [Adjust on Recording] dialog box where fine adjustments are made to the timing of starting and ending points when recording on the DV device.
    You can improve the accuracy of spliced recording by making adjustments according to the requirements of the DV device.

  • [Scan...]
    Opens the [Rec.Start/Rec.End scan settings] dialog box where scan specifications can be made.

[Window] Menu

  • [Monitor]
    Displays the Monitor Window.

  • [List]
    Displays the Record List Window.


[Help] Menu

  • [Help...]
    Opens the Help Window.

  • [About DVgate Motion...]
    Shows DVgate Motion's version number.


Record List Window

[File Menu]

  • [Open...]
    Opens a Record list (*.rlf file).

    Hint

  • [Page Setup]
    Opens the [Page Setup] dialog box where you can make settings related to printing, such as paper size, print orientation, and page margins.

  • [Print]
    Print the contents of the IN/OUT list . To start printing click [OK] in the printer dialog box.

    • Filenames
    • The Begin Point and End Point and time codes (or images and time codes only).
    • Page Numbers


  • [Close Window]
    Closes the Record list window.


[Edit] Menu

  • [Undo]
    Cancels the preceding operation performed on the Record list.

  • [Cut]
    Cuts the selected entry in the Record list and pastes it on the clipboard.

  • [Copy]
    Copies the selected entry in the Record list.

  • [Insert]
    Inserts the contents of your last [Cut] or [Copy] command after the selected entry in the Record list.

  • [Delete]
    Deletes the selected entry in the Record list.

  • [Select All]
    Selects all the entries in the Record list.

  • [Preview]
    Clicking this button will open the Preview Window where you can view a preview of the selected entries in the Record list.


[View] Menu

This menu is used to change the view of the Record list.
  • [Thumbnail and Time Code]
    Shows both images and time codes.

  • [Thumbnail]
    Shows images only.

  • [Time Code]
    Shows time codes only.
