Menu Bar

Main Window

[File] Menu

  • [Open...]
    Opens an IN/OUT list (*.iod file).


  • [Save...]
    Saves an IN/OUT list.
    When saving an IN/OUT or Record list, specify its file name in the [Save As...] dialog box

    Hint

    • This menu item is disabled when no OUT point is defined for the last entry on the list.
    • A saved IN/OUT list contains the time codes and image data of all IN and OUT points.

  • [Capture...]
    Captures clips from the DV device according to the IN/OUT list.
    Specify the file name and other items in the [Save as a file] dialog box.

  • [Preview...]
    Clicking this button in [EXPORT-Auto] or [EXPORT-Manual] mode will open the Preview Window where you can preview the selected entries in the Record list.

  • [Exit]
    Exits DVgate Motion.


[Settings] Menu

  • [Device Control...]
    Opens the [Device Control] dialog box where settings for controlling the connected device are configured.

  • [Adjust on Recording...]
    Opens the [Adjust on Recording] dialog box where fine adjustments are made to the timing of starting and ending points when recording on the DV device.
    You can improve the accuracy of spliced recording by making adjustments according to the requirements of the DV device.

  • [Scan...]
    Opens the [Rec.Start/Rec.End scan settings] dialog box where scan specifications can be made.

[Window] Menu

  • [Monitor]
    Displays the Monitor window.

  • [List]
    Displays the IN/OUT list window.

[Help] Menu

  • [Help...]
    Opens the Help window.

  • [About DVgate Motion...]
    Shows DVgate Motion's version number.


IN/OUT List Window

[File Menu]

  • [Open...]
    Opens an IN/OUT list (*.iod file).


  • [Save...]
    Saves an IN/OUT list.
    When saving an IN/OUT or Record list, specify its file name in the [Save As...] dialog box

    Hint

    • This menu item is disabled when no OUT point is defined for the last entry on the list.

  • [Page Setup]
    Opens the [Page Setup] dialog box where you can make settings related to printing, such as paper size, print orientation, and page margins.

  • [Print]
    Prints the contents of the IN/OUT list.
    The [Print] dialog box is displayed. Click [OK] to start printing.

  • [Close Window]
    Closes the IN/OUT list window.


[Edit] Menu

  • [Undo]
    Cancels the preceding operation performed on the IN/OUT list.

  • [Cut]
    Cuts the selected entry in the IN/OUT list and pastes it on the clipboard.

  • [Copy]
    Copies the selected entry in the IN/OUT list.

  • [Insert]
    Inserts the contents of your last [Cut] or [Copy] command after the selected entry in the IN/OUT list.

  • [Delete]
    Deletes the selected entry in the IN/OUT list.

  • [Select All]
    Selects all the entries in the IN/OUT list.

  • [Play]
    Plays the contents of the IN/OUT list.

  • [Move to the IN point]
    Moves the play position of the DV tape to the IN point.

  • [Move to the OUT point]
    Moves the play position of the DV tape to the OUT point.

  • [Properties]
    The "Properties" dialog box is displayed and the details of the selected item are displayed.


[View] Menu

This menu is used to change the view of the IN/OUT list.
  • [Thumbnail and Time Code]
    Shows both images and time codes.

  • [Thumbnail]
    Shows images only.

  • [Time Code]
    Shows time codes only.
